Adopted codes and conventions

As a Group we are committed to making a positive social and economic contribution in all the places we operate. This commitment is driven by the Board. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that we continue to create and maintain the trust in and loyalty of all our stakeholders.

We have voluntarily adopted various codes, conventions and regulations to further ethical business practices worldwide. Some of theses codes, conventions and regulations are detailed below:

	United Nations Global Compact
	The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
	The OECD Convention on Bribery
	The United Nations Convention Against Corruption
	The Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 20/11/1989 resolution N. 44/25
	The International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention N. 182 which calls for immediate action to ban the worst forms of child labour, dated 1999; International Labour Organization (ILO) minimum age Convention N.138, dated 1973
	The Stockholm Convention of 1998 on persistent organic pollutants
	The Montreal Protocol of September 1987 on substances that deplete the ozone layer
	The Basel Convention of 1989 on the control of trans-boundary movements of hazardous wastes and their disposa
	The Directive 2002/96/EC WEEE on waste of electrical and electronic equipment (where the supply takes place in the European Union)
	The Directive 2002/95/EC ROHS on reduction of hazardous substances (where the supply takes place in the European Union)
